Speaking Of Malthus…
Image from WikipediaOver on roblog, Rob has an excellent summary of manufacturing costs born by water, now referred to as water footprint. Water use is exacerbated by the conversion of crops to biofuel.
It all seemed very Malthusian to me. And since I mentioned this in a post a couple of days ago, I added some commentary.
It ocurred to me that others may be having similar thoughts. While sniffing around media sources, I came across Krugman annointing Malthus as his own antidote. Good reading for the comments! (March 28) on the NYT.
